Give It A Spin!
One-Time Non-Private Class
Waiting on the next 6-week course, or just want to see what throwing on the wheel is actually like? Give It a Spin is a one-time class where you'll make and glaze two pieces and pick them up about two weeks later. Small group, up to 8 people. No experience necessary.
Class meets the last Saturday of each month at 4pm.
This is not a private class. If you're looking for a private session, visit gumbolimbopottery.com/private-classes to see available dates and book your spot.
Policies
Suggested Attire
Pottery-making is naturally a messy activity. While clay and glazes typically wash out of clothing without staining, we still suggest that you wear attire you do not mind getting dirty. Please be aware that long nails will make it difficult to work with clay. If you have long nails, we recommend trimming them before attending your class.
Cancellations and Deposits
When registering for a private class, a $75 deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your spot (holiday bookings require full payment two weeks in advance). This deposit can be paid online, in person, or over the phone. The remaining balance is payable when you come in for your class. Deposits will be refunded for cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance. You can make changes to your booking up to 12 hours prior to your appointment. Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations to reservations that were previously rescheduled.
Class Length
The standard length for our private group classes is two hours. Private group classes which run in excess of two hours may be charged a fee of $25 per additional half hour. Please arrive to your appointment ten minutes in advance. Classes will not be extended in the case of late arrivals.
Pick-up
Work will typically be ready for pick-up two weeks after the date of your class. We will notify you via email, text message, or phone call when your work is ready to be picked up. Our schedule varies based on class times and market events, so it's always best to check our website for current hours before coming in to pick up work. Items must be picked up within 30 days after notification. After 90 days, unclaimed work may be discarded.
