Gumbo Limbo Pottery is a pottery gallery and studio in Kendall offering classes on the potter's wheel or in hand building. We have kids clay classes and adult classes scheduled during the day and in the evenings. Groups, couples, or individuals welcome and can be scheduled at your convenience. You can also shop for local, handmade ceramic art in our gallery featuring work from 6 Miami artists specializing in stoneware, porcelain, raku, earthenware, and more.

Woodland Planters with Stacey

 

Woodland Planters with Stacey

Spend the morning creating a whimsical Woodland Planter with Stacey Frisch in this half day clay workshop. Let your imagination take root while Stacey guides you through the process of creating a log shaped planter adorned with woodland critters such as mushrooms, snakes, snails, and vines. Learn hand building techniques like slab building and detailing. Open to adults and teens of any skill level.

Students are encouraged to bring sketches or images for inspiration!

Price includes clay and firing of pieces. Students are welcome to use our studio tools or bring their own if they prefer. Pieces will be left for drying and firing at Gumbo Limbo Pottery and should be ready for pickup approximately 2 weeks after the workshop.
