Join us for a hand building workshop focused on sculpting torsos. Led by Puchi Noriega, this hands-on session will cover essential techniques and principles to create lifelike torsos.
Participants will gain insights into human anatomy to understand proportions crucial for realistic sculptures. Puchi will demonstrate methods to sculpt in three dimensions while also teaching how to infuse emotion and personality into your sculptures through precise detailing.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop will provide the perfect environment to enhance your sculpting abilities.
Price includes clay and bisque firing of pieces. Students are welcome to use our studio tools or bring their own if they prefer. Pieces will be hollowed out and left for drying and bisque firing at Gumbo Limbo Pottery.
Participants can pick up their bisque-fired pieces approximately 3 weeks after the workshop. Students who wish to glaze their sculptures can come in at at TBD date for an additional fee of $20 which covers the cost of glaze and the second firing. Students enrolled in the April/May/June 6-week sessions of classes at Gumbo Limbo Pottery can glaze their sculpture during glaze week of their regular class session at no additional charge.
