Gumbo Limbo Pottery is a pottery gallery and studio in Kendall offering classes on the potter's wheel or in hand building. We have kids clay classes and adult classes scheduled during the day and in the evenings. Groups, couples, or individuals welcome and can be scheduled at your convenience. You can also shop for local, handmade ceramic art in our gallery featuring work from 6 Miami artists specializing in stoneware, porcelain, raku, earthenware, and more.

Five Week Kids Course • $225

Five weeks of artistic exploration and skill-building for young creators ages 8 & up. Weekly 90-minute sessions include both wheel throwing and hand building techniques.

Six Week Adults Course • $300

Our most comprehensive experience: six weeks of in-depth pottery instruction. Perfect for those ready to dive deep into the craft. Includes 25lbs of clay, tools, glazes and firing.

Pottery Discovery Experience • $150

A private one-on-one session with our expert instructors. Perfect for someone's first time at the wheel or those seeking personalized guidance. Includes all materials, tools, glazes and firing.

Couples Clay Date Experience • $175

A memorable creative date night for two! Share the joy of pottery-making together in this private session. Bring wine and snacks to make it extra special. Includes all materials, tools, glazes and firing.

Important Policies and Information

  • Experience Gift Certificates include guaranteed pricing for the specified experience for 6 months from the purchase date

  • After 6 months, certificates retain their full face value and can be applied to current pricing of any experience or product

  • Gift certificates never expire and are fully transferable

  • Certificates can be redeemed online, by phone, or in person
